Former NFL notable Keyshawn Johnson is set to star in a reality TV show in an area far afield from, well, the field. The show will air on A&E, and the network said it will focus on Johnson's journey to become an interior designer.

Called "Keyshawn Johnson: Tackling Design," the series is in production, and will be coming out next year. Johnson retired in 2007, and has served as an NFL analyst on ESPN.

The show (10 half-hour episodes) will air as part of A&E's Saturday morning lineup, which also includes "Sell This House" and a new reality show starring celebrity chef Rocco DiSpirito. There's also "We Mean Business" featuring Bill Rancic, the winner of the first "Apprentice" on NBC.

Johnson's show will chronicle his fish-out-of-water day-to-day efforts to master interior design and open a business advising on furniture and fabric.

"The fact that he is trying to get his interior design business off the ground perfectly fits with our real-life brand, where we capture the real lives of extraordinary people," said Robert Sharenow, senior vice president, nonfiction and alternative programming at A&E.

The charismatic Johnson is anything but shy--having written a book after only one year in the NFL titled "Just Give Me the Damn Ball." He won a Super Bowl with Tampa Bay in 2002 and showed promise as a television personality on ESPN's NFL Draft coverage in 2007, after which he retired and went into broadcasting full-time.
