Live From L.A., Ford To Trot Out '10 Mustang Tonight

MustangFord will unveil its 2010 Mustang tonight on the Speed Channel. The unveiling is live from the Los Angeles Auto Show in Santa Monica, Calif.

Nine regional Mustang Club of America groups will air broadcasts of the reveal in movie theaters. The car will be unveiled in the presence of past and will present Mustang racers, drag racers, team owners and designers, including Carroll Shelby, Jack Roush, John Force and Ashley Force.

Clubs in Atlanta, Dallas, Houston, Detroit, Denver, Phoenix, Tulsa, Okla., Columbus, Ohio, and Tampa, Fla. will give guests attending the cinema events limited-edition, scale-model 2010 Mustangs, among other prizes.

The 45-year-old nameplate has been the top-selling sports car in the U.S. for at least half of its existence, with some nine million owners. Ford will put the first post-reveal images of the car on www.the2010mustang.com on Wednesday. The site will have a 360-degree view of the vehicle as well as the video feed from the show.

At the L.A. show, Ford will display Mustangs from the past 45 years, chosen from among owners.
