Former Yahoo Exec Takes Over As Turn Inc. President, COO

Online ad network Turn Inc. on Monday announced the appointment of Bill Demas to the role of president and chief operating officer.

Demas will be responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of Turn's sales, publisher development, client services, and market optimization functions and will report directly to Turn's CEO and chairman, Jim Barnett. Demas, who has served as an advisor for the company since 2007, will also maintain his role on the board of directors.

At Yahoo/Overture, he led the company's multibillion-dollar distribution network for search marketing to Internet-based businesses and publishers of all sizes. As head of the Yahoo Publisher Network Group, Demas oversaw business development, product development, marketing, and professional services, building hundreds of exclusive distribution relationships with major Internet sites and publishers.

Most recently, Demas was the president and CEO of MokaFive, a desktop virtualization company. At MokaFive, Demas was responsible for launching the company, leading overall strategy, and guiding day-to-day operations.--Gavin O'Malley
