Mediaplex to Acquire Ad Agency Management ASP AdWare

Mediaplex has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire AdWare Systems from The Interpublic Group of Companies and its McCann-Erickson Worldwide unit. The acquisition of AdWare will allow Mediaplex to offer to agencies, advertisers and other partners a complete online-to-offline media-management solution, leveraging the latest digital technologies. The transaction expands Mediaplex's strategic market opportunity, from being a provider to the $7 billion, Internet-only advertising arena to one serving the far larger total advertising marketplace.
