Modem Media has named RUTH SREENAN global head of delivery management. Sreenan is currently SVP, Delivery and Operations at Modem Media Europe.
MATTHEW NELSON has joined Centro as Northwest sales manager. He joins Centro from The Weather Channel Media Solutions Group, where he served as account manager.
Horizon Media has named OLIVER MALETZ as SVP, managing director, brand strategy. Maletz will share responsibility for overseeing Horizon's New York accounts with SVP, managing director, brand strategy, GABRIELLE MAGNANI. Maletz joins Horizon from Universal McCann and McCann-Erickson Worldwide where he spent the last nine years providing strategic marketing and media counsel to blue chip clients.
VIVEK SHAH has been promoted to president, digital publishing, The FORTUNE/Money Group. Shah will oversee the newly relaunched CNNMoney.com and all digital initiatives of the Group. He was the general manager of The FORTUNE/Money Group for four years before assuming his new role.
Fallon Minneapolis has named BRIAN TIERNEY as a writer/group head. He joins Fallon from Crispin Porter + Bogusky in Miami, where he served as a senior copywriter on MINI, Burger King, Molson Canadian, and the American Legacy Foundation, among others.
MARTIN WEST has been named creative director for iris. He joins the New York office from iris' London office.
SPENCER MCHUGH has been named director of client services at R/GA. McHugh will be responsible for the global Nokia account and building R/GA’s London office.
The Republik has hired LOUISE GORDON as business development director. Previously, Gordon was account executive at Univision Television Network, Raleigh, N.C., handling Pepsi and March of Dimes.
Country Living has named ERIC GRUSEKE associate publisher/advertising. In his new role, Gruseke will be responsible for all advertising revenue for Country Living. Gruseke spent most of his career at The Reader's Digest Association where he held various advertising sales and sales management roles, including advertising director and publisher at both Reader's Digest and The Family Handyman.
LAURENCE BOSCHETTO has been promoted to president and chief operating officer of Draft's global network. Boschetto most recently served as president of Draft New York.
Real Cities Network has named MARIO TOTA to vice president of national sales. Tota will oversee the national sales team, as well as multi-media advertising and marketing for Real Cities. He most recently served as vice president of sales for Citysearch.com.
TOM ALEXANDER has been named director of sales for ClickShift, a startup company focusing on Search Engine Marketing. He joins the company from ValueClick Media.
i4design has hired JIM GOODELL as its first-ever chief executive officer.
JOSÉ-MARÍA CASERO has been named chairman of all Publicis Groupe Media businesses in Spain and Portugal (Iberia). In his new role, Casero will provide supervision and leadership to Zenith, Optimedia and Starcom. In addition, ZenithOptimedia has named SERGIO LORCA as CEO for Iberia. He will have additional responsibilities as CEO for ZenithOptimedia Latin America.
Network LIVE, a joint venture between American Online, XM Satellite Radio and AEG, has named MICHAEL GOLDFINE to vice president of production and programming. In his new role, Goldfine will oversee all creative development and production of Network LIVE programming. He joins the company following three years as senior producer and correspondent for Extra!.
BOB JOHNSON has joined Slack Barshinger as associate media director. Johnson previously served as media director for Mobium Creative Group and as vice president and account media director at J. Walter Thompson.
Official Xbox Magazine has named FRANCESCA REYES as its editor-in-chief. She began her career as a writer with Future’s Ultra Game Players magazine, and has also written for such titles as Future’s Next Generation and PSM: 100% Independent PlayStation 2 Magazine.
Endeca has named JASON LEWIS to vice president of marketing. In this role, Lewis will lead Endeca’s global marketing efforts, including corporate positioning and communications, market solutions, product marketing, customer marketing, and demand generation.
Instream, a broadband video ad network recently launched by Lightningcast, has named BILL JENNINGS, most recently VP of new media and business development at A&E Television Networks, as chief revenue officer.

The Active Network has hired KERI STONE as senior online advertising sales representative, leading east coast ad sales for Active.com and Eteamz.com. She joins the company from Google, where she sold the AdSense program to publishers in the automotive, sports and lifestyle industries.

LARRY NOVENSTERN has been named EVP, director of national electronic media for Optimedia US. Novenstern will be responsible for all network, cable and syndication investments as well as the strategic development of new electronic media platforms and product integration initiatives. Novenstern joins Optimedia after a four year run as SVP, director of national broadcast buying at Deutsch.
