  • Ikea Defends Its U.S. Meatballs

    IKEA, reeling from the news that meatballs in some of its European stores contain horsemeat, issued a press release assuring customers that its U.S. meatballs come from American and Canadian suppliers, and contain only beef and pork. The Swedish furniture chain, with U.S. operations based in Conshohocken, Pa., says that it has mapped all its meat sources, and that "all beef and pork from the US and Canada must comply with USDA guidelines."
