  • MindShare Wins Unilever

    AdWeek today reported that Unilever has awarded MindShare its $700 million consolidated U.S. media planning and broadcast buying account, ending a year-long contest which, at the end, pitted WPP's global media arm against fellow Unilever incumbent Initiative Media. The third incumbent contender, Omnicom's OMD, bowed out last October.   • Amazon.Com Leads E-Tailing Pack

    Nielsen//NetRatings has revealed the Top Ten E-Tailers for the first four weeks of Holiday Season 2000, with Amazon.com leading the way. Amazon.com attracted nearly 54 million visits, surging 39% from the start of the holiday season. Highlights of Nielsen//NetRatings' Top Ten E-Tailers list include No. 5 EToys.com, which skyrocketed 180% to eight million visits, and No. 8 Walmart.com, which saw a 780% jump to more than six million visits over the course of the season.
