  • L90 Reports Results

    Media company L90 today announced its full year 2001 operating results, including the previously announced restated results for the first three quarters of 2001 and the last two quarters of 2000. For the full year ended December 31, 2001, L90 reported revenue of $27.6 million and a net loss of $52.6 million, or $2.14 per share. The loss included non-cash impairment charges of approximately $28.0 million or $1.14 per share. L90 significantly reduced its cash used in operating activities by $15.3 million from $22.0 million in 2000 to $6.7 million for 2001.   • Tribune Reports Slight Ad Decrease

    Tribune Company reported its summary of revenues and newspaper advertising volume for its fourth quarter, ended April 28, 2002. Consolidated revenues for the period were $417 million, up 2% from last year's $410 million. Publishing revenues in April of $296 million were even with last year. Advertising revenue decreased 1% to $225 million, down from last year's $228 million. Total advertising inches decreased 1% in April. For April, retail advertising revenue was even with last year. Increases in the home furnishing and other retail categories were offset by declines in the department stores, food and electronics categories.   • TiVO Hooks Up With Best Buy

    TiVo has teamed up with mass entertainment retailer Best Buy for a campaign that will introduce a new advertising function for the 400,000 TiVO subscribers. The first flight of the “Go Mobile” campaign starts on MTV at the end of May. Using new TiVo “Advertainment” capabilities, Best Buy will provide an electronic tag for commercials that appear to TiVo subscribers. Clicking their remote control while the ads are on screen will take the subscribers to a "Video Showcase" area where they can see video from hit records.
