  • Cable Tops Primetime

    Ad-supported cable recorded its highest primetime U.S. household delivery of the season during the week ending Nov. 17, according to the Cabletelevision Advertising Bureau. Ad-supported cable’s average primetime U.S. household delivery rose by 1.8 million homes to 30.2 million, up 6.5% compared to the same period a year ago.   • LA Newspapers Get AdStar Classifieds

    AdStar has signed a contract with the Los Angeles Newspaper Group (LANG), a division of MediaNews Group, to provide Web-based classified advertising sales functionality for LANG's eight member websites. As a result of the agreement, AdStar will power the online classified ad transaction services for LANG's newspapers, including the Inland Valley Daily Bulletin (, Long Beach Press-Telegram (, Los Angeles Daily News (, Pasadena Star-News (, Redlands Daily Facts (, San Bernardino County Sun (, San Gabriel Valley Tribune (, and the Whittier Daily News ( The combined Sunday circulation of these newspapers is more than 585,000. The magazine will be a combined effort between Ziff Davis Media, and Electronics Boutique, one of the largest and best known specialty retailers of electronic games.
