GLENN PAGAN has joined the Interactive Advertising Bureau as Vice President of sales. Pagan joins the IAB from AOL Time Warner, where he most recently was Director, Agency Relations Group. Prior to that, he was Director of Business Development, leading a team responsible for generating cross-platform, integrated-marketing and transaction-based programs. At the IAB, he will work closely with VP of Marketing, KELLY COLBERT, who joined about six weeks ago to head such marketing efforts as the interactive ad industry's first branding campaign. Prior to joining the IAB, she was VP of Marketing and Business Development at Word of Net, an online measurement and market research firm.
Sprint has named E/Solutions veteran JEFF MOTT VP-Marketing, Mass Markets Organization. Mott succeeds HARRY CAMPBELL, who became president of the consumer focused MMO in June. Previously, Mott was VP-Sales and Service in the central region.
KEVIN CONROY has been promoted to fill the newly created position of Senior Vice President and General Manager of AOL Entertainment. He had been General Manager of America Online's AOL Music division. In his new role, Conroy will oversee music, film, TV and games for AOL as the online division attempts to integrate content and services from individual channels. BILL WILSON, Senior Vice President for AOL Music, was promoted to General Manager.
MaxWorldwide has appointed RICHARD N. COSTELLO and GEOFFRY R. HANDLER to its board of directors. Costello has spent 29 years in advertising, most notably as President and Chief Executive of TBWA\Chiat\Day in New York and Chief Operating Officer of TBWA. Most recently, he was President of Universal Studio's Strategic Marketing Group. Handler is the Managing Partner at law firm McLaughlin & Stern LLP. He was a member of the board of TDI, an outdoor advertising company, until its acquisition by Infinity Broadcasting in March 1996. He also sits on the board of directors of two major charitable foundations.
Bob Jeffrey, President of J. Walter Thompson North America, announced that SALLY A. MORRISON, former Senior Vice President of Publicity at Miramax and long-time veteran of the American Foundation for AIDS Research joins JWT as Senior Partner, Director of The Diamond Information Center. Prior to joining the Diamond Information Center, Morrison served as Senior Vice President of Publicity at Miramax films, where she most recently oversaw all international communications activities surrounding the release of dozens of Miramax and Dimension films.
Bates Southwest, an integrated communications agency in Houston, announced the promotions of ELIZABETH TINDALL to Management Supervisor and BRETT SCHROEDER to Account Supervisor. Tindall, who joined the firm as an Account Supervisor in September 2000, manages several of Bates Southwest’s clients, including St. Luke’s Hospital. Schroeder joined the agency as a Senior Account Executive in November of 2000 and oversees the day-to-day communications activities for St. Luke’s and A&E The Graphics Complex.
Forbes.com announced that JAMIE MACY has joined the West Coast sales team as Account Manager with responsibility for the Northwest Territory. Macy was most recently at Ziff Davis Internet, where she was West Coast Regional Sales Manager.
Red Herring Communications has cut at least 28% of its work force as advertisers keep pulling out amid the ongoing meltdown of the technology sector. With the latest round of job cuts, the San Francisco-based magazine will be left with less than 50 employees.
The Mobile Marketing Association has hired PETER FULLER as its Executive Director. Last year, Fuller ran communications efforts for the MMA, and prior to that founded the Internet Measurement Initiative, an organization that advocates guidelines for Web audience measurement. He continues to run his own strategic public relations and marketing firm, Peter C. Fuller Worldwide.
VIKKI C. NEIL has been named Director of Online Marketing for Scripps newspapers. Neil rejoins The E.W. Scripps Company after spending the previous year as the Internet Advertising Manager for The St. Petersburg Times. While at the Times she directed the online revenue strategy, led the redesign of the newspaper's classified websites and spearheaded new marketing strategies.
LEE VANN has been named Vice President of Strategic Marketing Services for Focus Multimedia, an interactive solutions firm based in Santa Monica, CA. Vann, a former division Vice President at L90, merged his interactive marketing firm, Parasoul LLC, with Focus Multimedia. Vann has developed and executed interactive marketing solutions for companies such as Nike, McDonalds, AT&T Wireless, Verizon, Epson, and Mitsubishi.
Overture Services, Inc. announced that WILLIAM DEMAS has been named General Manager and Senior Vice President, Affiliate Business Group. Before joining Overture, he served as Executive Vice President, Product Development and Marketing for Vividence Corporation, a leading provider of customer experience management products and services.

The Reader’s Digest Association announced DAWN ZIER’s promotion to Vice President and Circulation Director. Zier, the former Vice President of Circulation Marketing, will be responsible for marketing, fulfillment, planning and managing the circulation of the company's special interest magazines, including The Family Handyman, American Woodworker, Selecciones and Reader's Digest Large Print.
Pax TV EVP/Marketing STEVE SOHMER will become the EVP/Marketing, Advertising and Promotions for ABC. Sohmer, who began his new job Monday, will work with ABC’s Mike Benson, SVP/Marketing, Advertising and Promotions.
Bravo Network announced several new positions. ALAN KLEIN has been named Director/Ad Sales Promotions, LESLIE TSENG has been promoted to Director/Ad sales Marketing, and TED LEUCI has been named Manager/Ad Sales Marketing. Klein will oversee business development, the movie studio and home videos. All major ad sales market events will go through Tseng, who will also develop custom sales sponsorship opportunities and upfront materials. Leuici will provide marketing help for the national ad sales group.

Dennis was recently with HBC in Miami and has over twenty one years of experience in the advertising industry, predominantly in media sales, sales management, NTR/business development and account management in radio, television and on the agency side.
HARLAN STONE, CEO of Interpublic Group of Cos. event management and promotion agency Momentum Worldwide, New York, is joining Velocity Sports & Entertainment. He will be one of five principals at the Wilton, CT-based independent agency. Stone had been Momentum CEO since April 2001.
