Horizon Media has named JUDY CULLEN Broadcast Group Manager in the firm's West Coast Buying operation. Cullen comes to Horizon from Palisades Media where she was most recently a broadcast media buyer. Cullen's duties included buying the New York, Memphis, Miami and Seattle markets for clients Miramax Films, Fox Searchlight, Paramount Classics and others. Horizon also hired TODD GLICK as a planning supervisor, overseeing the media planning for the agency's $50 million Earthlink account. Glick joins from Lowe, formerly Bozell New York, where he was most recently a media supervisor on the John Frieda account, responsible for developing national plans for the Hair Care Division of the Andrew Jergens Company.
The Chicago office of Draft has added REED ROUSSEL as Vice President, Director of Digital Marketing. Roussel is charged with creating customer-focused promotions and micro-sites, promotional search engines, and e-mail campaigns, as well as interactive web sites, for the agency's clients. Roussel joins Draft from iLeo, the direct, digital, and database marketing resources agency within the Leo Burnett network, where he served as Director of Solution Engineering.
Leo Burnett Worldwide announced that STEVE GATFIELD, Burnett's Chicago-based Chief Operating Officer, is leaving the company and that his job will be eliminated. Gatfield joined Leo Burnett in 1987 in London, where he ran the U.K. office from 1993 until 1997, and moved to Chicago in 2001 to join the agency's global management team.
MPG, Havas' media arm, has promoted three employees in its Chicago office. KAREN RUSHING has been elevated to Vice President/Media Director, while JENNIFER DEVENS becomes Vice President/Account Director and CARRIE BARLEY becomes Account Director. Since arriving at MPG in May 2002, Rushing has worked on a host of accounts and helped fuel the firm's new-business efforts. Before her stint at MPG, she was a Communications Director at Brand Expression and a Senior Vice President/Group Media Director at J. Walter Thompson. Devens started her career in the media department of Tatham RSCG (now Euro RSCG Tatham Partners). Barley boasts nine years of media experience, including stays at McCann Erickson and Young & Rubicam in Detroit.
MARY ELLEN HOLDEN has been named Senior Vice President of Marketing and JERRY FRAGETTI has been named Senior Vice President of Media and Operations for the Newspaper National Network. Holden's experience included positions as Senior Vice President of Marketing at USA Network, Vice President of Marketing at MSNBC, and Vice President, Consumer Products/New Business Promotions at Nickelodeon. Most recently, she was consulting for Discovery Networks on strategic media partnerships. Fragetti has 25 years of experience at News Corporation where his roles included Executive Vice President of New America's FSI Division, CFO of the New York Post, and CFO and General Manager positions with Murdoch Magazines and News America's In-Store Division. Fragetti's responsibilities include NNN's newspaper relations, media operations, and strategic alliances.
BILL AYLESWORTH has been elected to serve on the Board of Directors at the Chicago Association of Direct Marketing (CADM). As part of the thirteen-person, volunteer Board, Aylesworth will work to advance direct marketing education, serve as an industry advocate, and oversee the Association's operation.
Cox Target Media has promoted MELISSA FISHER to Senior Vice President of Marketing & Communications. She oversees CTM's brand marketing, advertising, research, sales incentives, meetings, promotions, sales tools, geographic information systems, mapping and creative services. Prior to joining CTM, Fisher was Marketing Manager for CableRep Advertising.
ANTHONY FLACK has been named regional director of affiliate sales for TV One, the new cable television network targeting adult African-American and urban viewers scheduled to launch in January 2004. Flack comes to TV One from Atlantic States Bank in Atlanta, where he was a community mortgage banker. Before that, he was director of sales for Project Homestead, Inc., where he managed the sales staff and oversaw marketing and advertising for the non-profit residential developer.
MIKE CUNNINGHAM has been named Manager of the Detroit office of the James G. Elliott Company. In his new role, Cunningham will be responsible for the advertising sales efforts for the company. Most recently, Cunningham headed up his own sales, marketing and general management-consulting firm for two years. Prior to that, he was Director of Electronic Commerce for Masco Corporation.
Business 2.0 magazine, announced that LIZ BROOKING, most recently of Intuit, will join the magazine as Director of Marketing. Brooking will be based in the magazine's San Francisco headquarters.
Emerging Interest has promoted HEIDI E. LEHMANN to Chief Operating Officer. Lehmann, previously VP, managing director, will assume all responsibilities surrounding EI's Marketing Technology Road Show as well as assist in launching the companies' new e-mail technology offering. Prior to joining Emerging Interest, Lehmann was director of marketing applications at "smart bot" technology developer, Artificial Life. She also held positions as VP business development at Kaon Interactive and as director of business development at Autosite.com.
Tribune Media Services International (TMSI) has named RYAN STEPHENS to the newly created position of International Sales Director, where he will manage the company's growing worldwide sales operation. Stephens will manage TMSI's worldwide sales staff in Los Angeles, London and Hong Kong. A twelve-year veteran of TMSI, Stephens most recently served as Director Latin America and Canada, based in Los Angeles. Prior to that, he spent year as Managing Director of Article Sales in the New York office.
AMBER STELZER has been named Group Sales Manager with Eagle Television Sales in Seattle. Stelzer began her career at Katz in 1998 as a Sales Assistant. Later that year, she joined United Television Sales. In 1999, she returned to Katz as an Account Manager with Eagle Television Sales, her most recent position.

Prior to joining Experian, Isaacson launched The Isaacson Group following a six-year role with the Direct Marketing Association /Association for Interactive Marketing.
