ValueClick has successfully completed its acquisition of Commission Junction. ValueClick will combine Commission Junction with its Be Free affiliate marketing subsidiary. JEFF PULLEN, president and chief executive officer of Commission Junction, has been named as the general manager of the combined Be Free/Commission Junction subsidiary. Pullen has held chief financial officer and senior executive operations positions at companies such as ChemConnect, Inc. and IMEX Exchange.
The Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) has elected new members to its Board of Directors and Executive Committee. Forbes Inc. has promoted KEVIN GENTZEL to national advertising director for Forbes magazine. Gentzel will be responsible for all Forbes magazine’s advertising sales efforts in the U.S. He joined Forbes Inc. in May 1999 as a salesperson in the New York office, and was promoted to New York regional director in November of 2000 and took over management of the entire sales staff. In May of 2002, Gentzel took over group advertising director responsibilities for the West Coast.
Forbes.com has promoted RICHARD J. KOSINSKI to east coast sales director, based in New York. Kosinski joined Forbes.com in 2002 as New York regional sales manager from CNET Networks, where he was vice president, news sales. Previously he worked at The Asian Wall Street Journal as ad director, based in Hong Kong.
Interep has appointed SHEILA F. KIRBY to the position of senior vice president/Interep Innovations to drive group sales and revenue development efforts on behalf of Interep’s client radio stations. In her new role, Kirby will oversee the Interep Marketing Group and Promotion/Marketing.
Bridal Guide magazine has hired JAMES DINGEE as travel manager. Most recently, Dingee served as an independent representative and consultant for Art & Antiques magazine. Formerly, he was account manager at Money magazine.
Planning Group International, a full-service marketing agency, has appointed MICHELLE PUJOL as director of account services. Pujol will manage the interactive account service's team and serve as the client liaison for clients such as Citibank, Celebrity Cruise Lines, MasterCard, and CompuCredit. Pujol joins the firm from CompuCredit, where she was senior marketing manager of interactive media at CompuCredit, where she oversaw three credit card brands.
Erwin-Penland has promoted PETER COLES to vice president. A 10-year veteran of the agency, Coles has served on the account management team for clients such as Cafe Enterprises, Greenville Tech, Regent Medical, ScanSource, and ScheerSports. In 2002, Coles was named director of agency operations, with responsibilities including the overall planning and management of agency services, building operations, equipment maintenance, and human resources.

Insight Out of Chaos, a CRM, database, and direct response marketing company, has named RANDY HOBLER as director of new business development. Prior to joining IOOC, Hobler was a director at Gartner Consulting, where he developed and managed IT and telecom engagements for clients such as Microsoft, HP, Sun, Xerox, and Lexmark.
ROBIN HARTZELL has joined the Greteman Group as a research analyst. Hartzell's duties include coordinating research-related activities and planning and strategy development. He joined the agency in 2002 as a graduate intern.
BILL BINAN has been named online ad sales director at IDG Entertainment's GamePro.com. Binan was most recently with GameSpy.com and UGO.com.
BBDO New York announced that ERIC SILVER has joined the agency as an executive vice president and executive creative director. Silver was most recently creative director for Cliff Freeman and Partners and had been there since 1997.
Sharpe Partners has promoted JAMISON JONES, formerly a senior art director, to creative director. Jones joined Sharpe Partners in February of 2001 as an art director working on the Simply Orange Juice account.
