MPG (Media Planning Group) has promoted JORGE PERCOVICH to executive vice president, managing director for MPG International and MPG Diversity, the firm’s multicultural unit. He is responsible for the management of these groups, as well as developing the scope of work for both divisions. Percovich joined MPG in 1999 as general manager of the firm’s Miami office.
MediaCom and Beyond Interactive have promoted NICK PAHADE to executive vice president, managing director of Beyond Interactive US. Pahade was previously chief strategic officer for the agency.
JOHN MCSHEA has joined BusinessWeek as New York regional sales director. McShea will handle technology, consumer, and financial accounts in the region. McShea comes to the magazine from Golf Digest where he was the New York account director. RIK GATES will serve as co-New York regional director alongside McShea. Also, TERRI DUFORE has been promoted to Northwestern regional sales director. She has been with the magazine since 1997. JOHN MCGUIRE has joined BusinessWeek’s mid-west region print sales team in Chicago, having been recently based in the Dallas office. Lastly, TANYA BROWN has been promoted to account manager, sales in the New York office. Brown was most recently a sales assistant.
Advertising.com has hired LAUREN WEINBERG as marketing research manager. Weinberg most recently was a media analyst at Nielsen//NetRatings in New York. WILLIAM MASTERSON, who previously held the role of research manager, has joined the company's New York sales team as account executive.
PAT DIGNAN has joined Forbes.com as East Coast sales director, based in New York. GREGORY MYRICK has also joined the company as regional sales manager based in Detroit. Dignan joins Forbes.com from Saveur Magazine where he was the publisher since Feb. 2002. Myrick was most recently at chemistri (formerly D’Arcy Worldwide), supporting numerous Cadillac lines in senior account management and supervisory positions.
MEA Digital has hired LEE MILLS (pictured) to head up its new Search Engine Marketing division. Mills will serve as media director. ANDY CREIGHTON will work in the SEM division as media planner.
McClain Finlon has named DAVE SOUTHERN as its managing director, responsible for all client-facing activities, including account management, creative and design, media and research. Previously, Southern was vice president of marketing at Bally Total Fitness, Chicago. Before that, he was national director of sales and marketing for health care industry services at Ernst & Young.
BERNARD GERSHON has been named senior vice president, general manager of the ABC News Digital Media Group. Gershon is responsible for developing revenue opportunities and distribution of ABC News content to all digital media platforms. He joined ABCNEWS.com in 1999 as the vice president and general manager.
LAURA CUPELO has been named group sales manager of the New York Hercules sales team for Eagle Television Sales. In 2000, she became account manager with Eagle Television Sales, her most recent position.
PGR Media has hired STEPHANIE NORRIS, formerly of MPG in Boston, as associate media director. Her primary focus will be managing the Bertucci's account.
LAURA SCHOOLER has been named associate director of marketing for PricewaterhouseCoopers' Entertainment & Media Practice. Schooler will play a role in marketing and public relations activities of the Entertainment & Media Practice, and also serve as managing editor of the annual PwC Global Entertainment & Media Outlook.
Starmark International has named TODD TAMCSIN executive vice president, client services. Prior to re-joining Starmark, Tamcsin served as director of sales & marketing for Ehlert Publishing Group.
In a restructuring, RICK MILENTHAL, formerly CEO of HMS Partners, Columbus, OH, has been made chairman of advertising agency Ten United. NICK BANDY, formerly president of Ten United's Columbus office, becomes chief operating officer for all offices, in charge of account services and information technology. BILL BINSTOCK remains Ten United's CEO.
KIP CASSINO has been named director of research at Borrell Associates Inc. He replaces MIKE DONATELLO, who will join comScore Networks. Prior to joining Borrell Associates, Cassino was vice president of research for Corzen Inc.
Cooking Light has hired ELLEN KAMHI, KIMBERLY RIGNEY and OZZIE JACOBS as account managers in its New York office. Prior to joining Cooking Light, Kamhi worked for Working Mother, Allure, New Woman, Fortune and Ladies' Home Journal magazines. Rigney joins the magazine after spending two years at Ski and Skiing magazines.
BPA International has hired MATTHEW LUND as manager, marketing services, Latin America, responsible for new business development in that region. His previous positions were in Mexico and Brazil, including managing sales for Marketing Services Mexicana S.A.
NETexponent, an online direct marketing company, has hired JENNIFER HOULIHAN as account manager. Houlihan joins the company from Click Point Solutions. She will be responsible for managing client relationships and will oversee customer acquisition efforts for several clients.
Enpocket, a mobile marketing solution provider, has appointed PAUL RUCK as vice president of sales. Ruck joins Enpocket from Bluestreak where he served as executive director of sales.
