  • Carat Brand Experience (CBE) has named ALLAN FINEHIRSH senior vice president of the organization. Finehirsh will be charged with building CBE's business and co-managing current client relationships with Senior Vice President Geoff Poli. Prior to joining Carat, Finehirsh was director, practice leader Consumer Marketing Services for Maritz Inc., where he developed integrated solutions for clients including Toyota, Lexus, and Honda. Prior to that, he served as executive vice president at Young and Rubicam Brands, where he directed integrated marketing programs for Lincoln-Mercury.

  • DIC Entertainment has named LAURA KIRIN as account executive for advertising sales and marketing. Kirin will manage advertising clients and agencies in the Midwest and Southwest regions. Prior to DIC, Kirin served as account executive at ABC Family & Kids and was responsible for selling cable commercial inventory, as well as cross-platform sponsorship opportunities for family and kids programming.

  • Mediaedge:cia has tapped BOB DESENA as managing partner, director of active engagement. Most recently, he was CEO of Engagement Marketing Group, which he founded to focus exclusively on developing new ways to create and measure consumer engagement across all connection points. Prior to that, he was managing director for Mars Direct, responsible for brand sales in all direct to consumer channels and for the call center and fulfillment operations.

  • [x+1] has named GEORGE MILLER and HEATH PODVESKER vice presidents in charge of the management of strategic client relationships.

  • PAM HORAN has been named president of the Online Publishers Association. Horan, who has been acting president since January, had previously served as the organization's vice president, marketing and membership. Horan joined the OPA from Zinio Systems, where she was the vice president of marketing.

  • KIM MCQUILKEN, executive vice president of Cartoon Network Ad Sales, Marketing and Enterprises, is leaving the Cartoon Network to pursue other interests. McQuilken, who has worked for Turner since 1992, will stay on through the remainder of the upfront season.

  • Concrete Pictures has appointed BRIAN BLACK to vice president of interactive media. Black will be responsible for spearheading the company's growth into the interactive market. Most recently, Black was founder and creative director of Black Light Design.

  • CFO Publishing has promoted LISSA SHORT to senior vice president of advertising. Short will manage all advertising sales functions for CFO magazine in the United States. Most recently, she managed the advertising department for Treasury & Risk Management.

  • JOSEPH SZUMASKI has been selected as director of ad operations for Active Athlete Media. Most recently, he was advertising operations director of SohoDigital.

  • Performance Bridge has appointed DEAN HARRIS, chief marketing officer for Kayak.com, to its advisory board.

  • STEVE COULSON joins T3 as group creative director from JWT New York where he served as senior partner, creative director, working on the Diamond Trading Company, Unilever, Schick, Smirnoff, Novell, Cadbury Adams and Merrill Lynch.

  • HILARY RUSHNELL has joined Lion Television USA as manager of development.

  • MELINDA WILLIAMS has been named vice president, interactive group creative director at Wunderman. She previously served as global interactive creative director for Starwood Hotels and Resorts. In addition, ANDY SEMONS was named senior vice president, director of strategic services.

  • MATTHEW S. GOLDSTEIN was named senior vice president, revenue operations at TACODA. Goldstein worked for MTV Networks since 1989 serving most recently as vice president of online ad operations.

  • EROI has named ANNA DEMENT as senior account executive; SHERYL MALONEY as senior account executive; and KAREN BUTLER-KENNEDY as financial controller.

  • CBS SportsLine has added two national columnists, MIKE FREEMAN and GREGG DOYEL, to its CBS SportsLine.com Web site. Freeman joins CBS SportsLine from the Florida Times-Union, where he was the lead sports columnist. Doyel has handled the college basketball beat at CBS SportsLine since 2003.

  • CHRIS WIGGINS has joined ZAAZ as creative director in its Seattle office. Most recently, Wiggins was creative director of Fallon Worldwide's interactive group.

  • SUSIE MCCORMICK, executive publisher of San Francisco based 7x7 Magazine, was named chairman of the San Francisco Convention and Visitor's Bureau.

  • FLORENCE BUCHANAN and KAREN MCINTYRE have joined BBDO as creative directors. Buchanan and McIntyre joined the agency from Deutsch where they worked on accounts such as Almay, US Weekly, Westin and Sheraton hotels.

  • MICHAEL KACZMARSKI has joined R/GA as chief financial officer. Most recently, Kaczmarski was chief financial officer at TNS Healthcare North America, managing financial and management information and financial controls.

  • Reuters has named NICK JOHNSON as vice president of advertising sales for Reuters America. Johnson will manage ad sales efforts across all platforms including online, mobile, interactive TV and outdoor advertising on The Reuters Sign. Prior to joining Reuters, he was chief revenue officer at Revenue Science.

  • BARRY MOWSZOWSKI has joined kirshenbaum bond + partners as senior brand strategist. MICHAEL DOODY has joined the agency as a brand strategy director. Lastly, GLORIA ALTHERR was named group account director.
