  • Deutsch New York has promoted VICTOR KIMBLE to senior vice president, account director, account management; MATTHEW ANDERSON to vice president, account director, business development, up from account director; MORGAN CARROLL to vice president, associate creative director, creative and NATHAN HUNT to vice president, associate creative director, creative.

  • BILL TUCKER has been named president of client service and agency operations at MediaVest USA. Prior to his elevation, Tucker was evp, director of client services. He continues his client service responsibilities overseeing key relationships, including Kraft.

  • JOEL SMERNOFF has been promoted to president and chief operating officer, up from COO, at Paltalk, a video chat community. The company also hired MATTHEW GORE as vice president of marketing.

  • BooneOakley has hired JULIE HERRON as account supervisor on the Bloom supermarkets and First Charter Bank accounts. Previously, Herron led business development and served as account executive on the Zaxby’s restaurants and Amelia Island Tourism & Development Council accounts at St. John & Partners.

  • REBECCA RIVERA joined PJA Advertising and Marketing as an associate creative director. Prior to joining PJA, Rivera was a freelance copywriter working with the Roxburgh Group and Y&R / Wunderman, among others.

  • KAELA LAROSA has been named marketing director for The FADER magazine. LaRosa will be heading up and building all of The FADER's various integrated marketing initiatives including events, promotions and merchandising.

  • Blast Radius has named DARRELL SNOW as vice president of technology and chief architect. He joins Blast Radius from Microsoft where he led the patterns and practices development team. Prior to Microsoft, Snow led the West Coast technology team at Avenue A | Razorfish.

  • Wunderman New York has promoted DAN BADION to group creative director, up from associate creative director. Badion will lead Wunderman New York's creative effort on HP.

  • MARIA GOODE COSTEN, formerly with Comcast Advertising Sales, has joined TurnHere Productions as sales development manager.

  • SFGT has made JASON ALAN SNYDER, a partner, naming him managing director, technology strategies. Prior to SFGT, Snyder led product design at America Online and held senior management positions within the Interpublic Group of Companies.

  • TINA BROCKETT has joined Empower MediaMarketing, Cincinnati as media research strategist. Brockett will help develop proprietary media planning tools to produce custom studies and intelligence for clients. Brockett joins the agency from Perfetti Van Melle, USA, where she worked for 15 years, most recently as assistant brand manager for Mentos.

  • JOSEPH SABATINO has been named vice president of client development for LinkShare. In his new role, Sabatino will be responsible for the strategic direction of LinkShare's performance-based marketing offerings. Sabatino joined LinkShare in 2001 as managing director of client development, western region.

  • TOM BERNOT has been named chief operating officer of Optiem.

  • WILLIAM R. NORDWIND, counsel and policy coordinator for the House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Telecommunications and the Internet is joining Venable LLP as a partner in Venable's Legislative and Government Affairs Group.

  • JOSHUA BERGER has been named vice president of programming operations for AMC and WE tv. In addition, MANDY SETHI was promoted to director of programming operations for AMC and WE tv. Berger joined Rainbow Media in 2003 as director of programming operations and Sethi joined Rainbow Media in 2003 as manager of programming operations for AMC and WE tv.

  • KIM CARUSO has been promoted to senior director, ad sales research, up from director, for Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movie Channel. Prior to joining Hallmark Channel she was manager, ad sales research at Oxygen.

  • GORDON MCLEOD has been appointed president of Dow Jones Online. In this new position, McLeod will be responsible for the growth of Dow Jones's Internet businesses, which include The Wall Street Journal Online, MarketWatch.com and Barron's Online. Prior to joining Dow Jones Online, McLeod spent six years at Time Inc., most recently as general manager of Time Inc. Interactive.

  • NATALIE TAYLOR has been named manager of affiliate ad sales for The Weather Channel and Weatherscan, the all-local, 24-hour service of The Weather Channel. Since 2002, Taylor had been vice president of business development for All Around Media.

  • PETER HOAGLAND was named vice president, director of strategy for GreenHouse,while CHRIS SCHMAUS and MICHELLE BLACK were named account directors.

  • Burst Media has named CHARLES E. CAHILL to be an account executive in the company's Detroit office. Cahill comes to Burst Media from Root Markets, where he was director of sales for the Detroit Region since 2005.

  • CHRIS SCHEMBRI has been promoted to senior vice president of media planning & partnerships for Discovery Networks U.S. Schembri is responsible for media positioning and cross-network promotion and is also charged with the creation and execution of media partnerships and management of Discovery Networks’ media planning teams and external media agency, PHD.

  • The Webby Awards has tapped STEVE MARCHESE and EMILY WARREN, formerly of The One Club and The Art Directors Club, respectively, to lead the expansion efforts in the advertising and marketing communities. Marchese takes on the role of senior producer and director of advertising and marketing juries and Warren was appointed producer and director of international development.

  • CORD DOVER has joined TACODA as director, southwest advertising sales and NICK ALLEN has joined the company as northwest advertising sales manager. Before joining TACODA, Dover worked for Tickle.Com./Monster Worldwide, most recently as southwest sales director. Allen joins from Advertising.com where was northwest sales manager since 2004.

  • Tribune Media Net has named LEE JONES as senior vice president/sales and marketing. He succeeds DANA HAYES, who was named senior vice president/sales for Tribune Interactive.

  • DEBBIE DEMONTREUX has taken on an expanded role as vice president of original programming at The Independent Film Channel. Previously, DeMontreux served as the network’s vice president of original series and specials.

  • MARC FAVARO has joined The Inspiration Networks as senior vice president, advertising and new media sales. Most recently, Favaro was senior vice president, managing director at Ascent Media.

  • ROGER W. NEAL was named senior vice president and general manager of BusinessWeek Online. He will be responsible for growing revenue, traffic and visibility for BusinessWeek Online. Most recently, he was director of business development at eBay, where he was responsible for revenue growth through key strategic partnerships.

  • SHEILA COLBERT has joined Time Inc. Interactive as technical product development director. She previously worked at Ziff Davis Media as executive director of online operations, responsible for advertising, production, and commerce operations.

  • ePrize New York has named DON FAIRBANKS as senior director of strategic services, and TIA SOLLECITO and JACKIE FERRENTINO as vice presidents of business development.

  • RITA MULLIN has been named vice president of development for Discovery Health and FitTV. Most recently, Mullin served as director of development for the Discovery Health Channel.

  • ZIBA KASHEF has been named editor-in-chief of Pregnancy magazine. Previously, she served as a senior health editor for more than four years at Essence.
