  • Pej Sabet
    Pitch

    Pitch promoted Pej Sabet to chief operations officer and chief financial officer. In addition, the agency hired Dominique Branham as account director on Burger King. She previously worked at DraftFCB on Taco Bell. Courtney Miller-Jones was added as account director on Meineke, Living Spaces and Closet Factory. She most recently worked at TBWA\Chiat\Day on the agency's U.S. Visa account. Lastly, Kristin Kiefer was named as senior strategist. Kiefer joins the agency from Rule14, where she worked on AT&T.

  • Katie Kempner
    CP+B

    CP+B promoted Katie Kempner to chief communications officer. In her new role, she will oversee the overall communications for the agency’s seven global offices in Boulder, Miami, Los Angeles, London, São Paulo and Gothenburg, Sweden with an additional CP+B Sweden office in Copenhagen. Kempner was formerly executive vice president, executive director of global communications and has been with CP+B and their holding company MDC Partners, for her entire career. Kempner initially originated the role of communications director at CP+B in 1996. In January 2004, while continuing to run the CP+B communications department, she joined parent company MDC Partners as senior vice president, director of corporate communications where she oversaw all communications for the network and provided strategic communications counsel to their partner firms. In 2011, she returned solely to CP+B to focus on global growth. Kempner is also the creator and host of “Perspectives with Katie Kempner” a digital series that focuses on successful working women balancing busy lives.

    Gyro tapped Blanca Gomara Lopez as executive creative director of its Madrid office. Most recently, she was strategic creative director at Young & Rubicam. Lopez previously worked on clients such as Coca-Cola, Caixa Bank, Nescafe, Telefonica and Repsol YPF while working at Publicis Groupe, McCann Worldgroup and Ruiz Nicoli. Gyro's Madrid office currently works with AGS, Bosch, Chep, HP, Orange and SanDisk.

    Camp + King hired Dana Rabb as branddirector to run the Bacardi account. He helped the agency land The Hershey Company subsidiary Scharffen Berger Chocolate Maker’s business, which he will direct. In early 2013, Rabb began working with the agency in a consulting capacity. Previously, Rabb worked at BBDO, Cramer-Krasselt and Publicis & Hal Riney, where he most recently served as a vice president and account director overseeing US Cellular.

  • Chip Waters and Peter Johnston
    David&Goliath

    David&Goliath hired Chip Waters as associate creative director and Peter Johnston as digital account supervisor. Both will work in the agency’s LA office. Waters will work on the Kia and California Lottery accounts. Most recently, Waters was a copywriter at twofifteenmccan, where he worked on creative campaigns for Xbox and Hewlett Packard. Prior to that, he spent six years as a copywriter at Venables Bell & Partners, where he helped Audi launch its TDI series in America. Johnston will supervise digital initiatives for The Art Institutes and report to Josh Crick, director of digital at D&G. Most recently, Johnston was at TBWA\Chiat\Day, where he managed Nissan's global marketing initiatives, including global strategic partnerships/sponsorships and the launch of Nissan's Dynamic Ad Builder -- a program created by Google used to control content within Nissan's live digital ads.
