    Shwen Gwee joined Digitas Health LifeBrands as vice president/group director of social strategy, charged with leading, developing, and shaping the future of the social media business unit for the New York office. He reports to Michael Leis, senior vice president, social strategy. Most recently, Gwee was chief digital officer at Chandler Chicco Companies, where he led the digital and social media practice. Prior to his agency roles, he worked on the client side, where he led digital strategy and social media for Vertex Pharmaceuticals and Sepracor Inc. (now Sunovion Pharmaceuticals Inc.). "My goal in joining the agency is to further our clients use of digital and social media, in order to bring the most value to patients and other stakeholders within their holistic approach to pharmaceutical advertising and communications," said Gwee.
  • Kate Morrison
    BBH New York
    BBH New York promoted Kate Morrison to head of content production, up from executive producer. A new role at the agency, Morrison will report to Carey Head, head of integrated production and technology, helping to lead and manage all content created by BBH NY. "Production plays an integral role in our creative process, and in relatively short time, Kate Morrison has made a massive mark on the work at BBH New York," said John Patroulis, chief creative officer of BBH New York. "Her creative taste and experience make her perfect for this new role, helping to elevate all of the content we produce each day." Morrison brings more than 10 years of producing experience to the role. Prior to joining the agency earlier this year, she has produced work for agencies like twofifteenmccann, Butler, Shine, Stern & Partners and 180 LA & Amsterdam -- including projects for XBox, MINI, Under Armour, and Rolex.
  • Rich McCoy and Nigel Carlos
    Doner London
    Doner London tapped Rich McCoy as digital creative director and Nigel Carlos as social media director. McCoy will work from the agency's office in Bradford on Avon, while Carlos will be based in London. Both will report to Nik Margolis, managing partner of Doner London. McCoy will be responsible for managing creative output for all digital advertising, eCRM, websites, mobile and digital content. He will be working across Fiat, Alfa Romeo, Jeep, Invisalign, D-Link and Nikon accounts, as well Doner's U.S.-based clients including Pet Supplies Plus, The UPS Store, and Cat's Pride. Most recently, McCoy was a senior digital art director at The Just Group in Melbourne, Australia. In his new role, Carlos will be responsible for overseeing Doner's social media offering. Specifically, he will manage the newly won social media account for Invisalign throughout the UK, France, Italy, Germany and Spain, as well as leading on the Fiat, Jeep, Chrysler and Alfa Romeo accounts. Most recently, he led the social strategy and output for Suzuki cars, Magners and Remy Martin at The Red Brick Road. Prior to that, he was head of social at London-based social media agency Neoco working with Sony Europe, Ubisoft, Sega and Channel 4.     Digital agency, Essence, hired Gannon Mooney as creative director, responsible for growing the creative offering of Essence's North American offices in New York, San Francisco and Seattle. Mooney will join the agency's Seattle office and report to Christian Juhl, who was recently named global CEO. He launched his career as a designer and was most recently a creative director at Seattle Wunderman Network. Prior to that, Mooney served as creative director at both Blast Radius and Razorfish. "Gannon has mastered the art of balancing creativity and leadership -- and has breathed new life into some of the world's biggest brands," said Juhl. "His creative vision and profound understanding of how consumers utilize digital platforms will bring exceptional ideas to the already stellar creative product we deliver to our clients." Mooney has worked with brands such as AT&T, Budweiser, Boeing, BP, Disney, General Mills, Intel, Microsoft, Netflix, Nissan, Starbucks and T-Mobile.

Desmond will be Board Chair through June 2015 when she will be succeeded by Mr. Christopher.
