  • Kevin F. McAuliffe
    Brand Arc
    Branded entertainment agency, Brand Arc, has opened a New York office, and tapped Kevin F. McAuliffe as managing director. The founder of Universal Television Networks' branded entertainment practice, McAuliffe introduced the business model to NBC Universal when the two companies merged in 2004. As senior vice president, branded entertainment for NBCU Cable Entertainment, he oversaw original content strategy partnerships for brand clients across USA, Bravo, Oxygen, Esquire, Style, E! and Syfy networks. Based in Los Angeles, Brand Arc designs product integrations across TV, film, video games, mobile and digital platforms for brands such as Toyota, AT&T and Genentech. "I'm excited to join Brand Arc as they launch an East Coast presence," said McAuliffe, who has worked with the agency from the distributor side for close to a decade. "This company's focus, innovation and creativity within the discipline allow brand partners to meaningfully tell consumers stories through original content engagement."

    Siegel+Gale hired Kevin Grady to global head of content and design. Grady joins the agency from IDEO, where he served as design director of its Boston office. Prior to that, he worked at CP+B, Mullen and Arnold Worldwide. Throughout his career, Grady has led many client engagements, including GAP, Grey Goose, FAGE and Benjamin Moore. His "Singing Cowboy" from the anti-smoking Truth campaign was nominated for an Emmy. Grady was recently commissioned by the Food and Drug Administration to simplify the Nutrition Facts Label. He was invited to the White House by First Lady Michelle Obama for the unveiling, who described the changes as a "huge deal."

    Karl Dunn joined FCB West as senior vice president, group creative director. Dunn previously worked at TBWA/Chiat/Day on the Nissan account. At FCB West, Dunn will partner with Julie Scelzo, senior vice president, group creative director. Dunn started his career in Sydney and gained global experience working in Singapore, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Johannesburg, Cape Town, Amsterdam and Berlin at shops including BBH, Leo Burnett and Strawberry Frog. Levi Strauss & Co. and Trulia are among the brands Dunn will work on at the San Francisco office. In the past, Dunn has worked on brands including MINI, Levi's, Heineken, McDonald's, Discovery and Hub Network.
  • Danny Gonzalez and David Suarez
    Goodby Silverstein & Partners
    Creative directors Danny Gonzalez and David Suarez are joining Goodby Silverstein & Partners in San Francisco on July 21. The pair will on Corona Light and Modelo, among other accounts. Before entering the freelance world earlier this year, Gonzalez and Suarez spent two and a half years at Barton F. Graf 9000 working across all brands, most notably serving as creative directors on Ragu and Little Caesars. Prior to that they spent time at TBWA\Chiat\Day New York and JWT New York. "I had a chance to work with Danny and Dave in New York, and I'm glad we convinced them to move west," said creative director Eric Kallman. "Working with them again will be like putting on a really comfortable pair of jeans, but jeans that also surprise you, impress you and make you laugh. So, basically, way better than jeans. I think you get the gist of what I'm trying to communicate here."

    Erwin Penland added two new creatives to the agency team. Craig Melchiano joined as executive vice president/executive creative director and Bee Reynolds was named associate creative director. Both are new positions at the agency. Melchiano and Reynolds, both formerly of Goodby Silverstein & Partners, will relocate to the agency's headquarters in Greenville, South Carolina and will report to chief creative officer Con Williamson, who works out of the New York City office. Melchiano will oversee the creative team in Greenville and touch all of Erwin Penland's accounts, including national and international brands like Denny's, Microsoft and Verizon. Prior to Goodby Silverstein & Partners, Melchiano worked at Weiden+Kennedy and TBWA/Chiat/Day. Reynolds will work on the Denny's and Microsoft teams as an associate creative director, as well as lead new business efforts nationwide. "As our agency continues to grow with new business and creative projects, we have to make room for more big brains," Williamson said. "Craig and Bee are the creative types we love to see -- they're open to big ideas and crafting the small ones to create great work."

Greenlief most recently served as a media supervisor at GSD&M where he helped lead communications planning and strategy across clients including RadioShack, Campbell's and L.L.Bean. Smith most recently served as a senior social engagement strategist at Translation where he worked on State Farm, heading up the brand's day-to-day social strategy and concepting.

    Xerox hired John Kennedy as chief marketing officer and vice president.  Kennedy joins Xerox from IBM, where he was vice president, global business services, responsible for marketing and demand generation for the company’s business services division.

Prior to founding JubaPlus in 2010, Greener served as head of analytics for Big Fuel Communications.
