  • Carlos ‘Ia’ Murad
    Lapiz
    Lapiz named Carlos 'Ia' Murad as creative director. Murad will lead creative for brands including Purina Latin America, Kellogg's, Mexico Tourism Board and Nintendo, among others. He joins Lapiz after five years at WMcCann Sao Paulo as creative director and head of art. Murad began his career at Leo Burnett Tailor Made Sao Paulo as an art director and also worked at Leo Burnett's Lisbon and Colombia offices. He will report to Fabio Seidl, senior vice president, executive creative director of Lapiz. Murad worked with Seidl in Sao Paulo and him in the Chicago headquarters of Lapiz. "It's great to be back with the network and working with such a talented international team," said Murad. "I'm looking forward to working with Fabio again and building upon the agency's creative excellence."
  • Charles Fulford, Paul Woods, Dave Tupper, Tom Westerlin and Frank Reichert

    Huge hired five creative executives in the agency's Brooklyn and Rio de Janeiro offices. In Brooklyn, Charles Fulford joined as group creative director. Prior to Huge, Fulford was a creative director at Isobar. Paul Woods has been hired as art director, joining the agency from Edenspiekermann in Berlin, Germany, where he was design director. Dave Tupper and Tom Westerlin were named creative directors. Tupper comes to Huge from AKQA and Westerlin joins from Bonfire Labs. Lastly, Frank Reichert was hired as senior designer, based in Huge's Rio de Janeiro office. Prior to Huge, Reichert was creative director, online at Qvest Magazine.
  • Jaime Robinson
    Wieden+Kennedy New York
    Wieden+Kennedy New York hired Jaime Robinson as executive creative director. Robinson, who starts in March, will be paired with David Kolbusz as co-executive creative director. Robinson joins the agency from Pereira & O'Dell, where she currently serves as vice president, executive creative director. While there, she led the creative development of "The Beauty Inside," a social film for Intel and Toshiba that earned the agency an Emmy for "Outstanding New Approach" along with three Grand Prix awards at the 2014 Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity. She also worked on campaigns for LEGO, Mattel's Scrabble and Skype, along with contributing to the agency's expansion and new business growth. Before Pereira & O'Dell, she spent two years at EVB in San Francisco, as associate creative director. Prior to that, she was a copywriter at TBWA\Chiat\Day, San Francisco. "We wanted to find someone with true creative vision, who was amazing with people, and eternally curious about new, different ways to solve client problems," said Colleen DeCourcy, W+K partner and global executive creative director. "Jaime is that person." W+K New York's clients includes ESPN, Delta Air Lines, Heineken, Brand Jordan, Nike, ABC, Equinox, Squarespace and Gap.

    Assembly named Neil Smith as executive vice president, director of marketing and business development. Smith will oversee the agency's new business operations while working with senior leadership to develop and execute the agency's overall marketing platform. He will report to Jeff Brooks, Chief Commercial Officer of Assembly. Smith joins Assembly from BPN: IPG Mediabrands, where he served as senior vice president, North American business development director. Prior to that, he worked as managing partner, head of account management at Gotham Inc., where he led all new business efforts with client wins including Sunglass Hut and AA/Citi AAdvantage credit cards. Smith also held senior positions at BBH, Butler Shine Stern & Partners, Autodesk, Sun Microsystems and JWT. "Neil brings cross-industry brand marketing experience and superior business development skills to the team, enhancing Assembly's footprint in the marketplace," said Brooks. "We look forward to utilizing his leadership and expertise in driving the direction and growth of our business."

    SelectNY hired Steve Whittier as digital creative director. He previously worked at RG/A NY as group executive creative director on Audi and Range Rover. Whittier will manage all digital and social work for the New York office. He is joined by Anita Asante, who will lead SelectNY's new business development, and Michelle Fogarty, who joins the agency as digital strategy director. Born and raised in London, Asante moved to New York in 2013 to work for Publicis Groupe's AR New York, a boutique fashion and luxury branding agency where she was responsible for all new business efforts. Previously, Asante has worked for agencies such as CHI & Partners, The Brooklyn Brothers and Karmarama, within the strategy, account management, campaign planning and new business departments. Fogarty has worked on brand campaigns for Google including the launch of Google Play, idea innovation for Google Glass, as well as MasterCard's Digital Priceless campaign featuring Justin Timberlake. Prior to SelectNY, Fogarty served as a freelance digital strategy director. Prior to that, she served as lead digital strategist at AKQA where she worked on Google Play, Nexus, G+ Small Business and Verizon.

He will be joining two other new partners Steve Harding, director of engagement who has been with ASO since 2010, and Ryan Mikesell, creative director, who joined in 2008.
