  • David Measer

    RPA hired David Measer as senior vice president, group strategic planning director. He most recently served as group director, planning, cultural and business insights at Crispin Porter + Bogusky. Measer will report to David Berne, senior vice president, director of strategic planning at RPA, and direct planning for Farmers Insurance and Apartments.com. Measer has been behind the launch of MINI in the United States, Apple's iPod "Silhouettes" campaign and Kia Soul's "Hamsters" campaigns, among others. "The rapid change in today's world brings new opportunities for us to create competitive advantages for our clients," said Berne. "David recognizes that we are all looking for insights in the same places which speaks to an important part of David's role -- to help us find new places to look. Identifying these 'open spaces' will enable us to deliver on our agency purpose to unlevel the playing field for our clients."

    Publicis Seattle hired Corey Bartha as executive vice president, head of integrated production. Bartha will lead all Publicis Seattle production departments, including broadcast, digital, print and content. Most recently, Bartha was the global head of integrated production at Quiksilver. He also held key production roles at Wieden+Kennedy Portland and Amsterdam and Crispin Porter + Bogusky, where he helped create the agency's first integrated production department. Throughout his career, Bartha has worked on brands like Coca-Cola, Burger King, Nike, Chrysler/Dodge, Old Spice and ESPN. "Corey couldn't be a more perfect fit," said Andrew Christou, chief creative officer. "We continue to push ourselves to be more integrated with our processes and make the work better, and I have no doubt Corey will be our fearless leader into a space he knows all too well to bring a stronger creative offering to our clients."

    WPP's Brand Union named Marta Swannie as digital creative director of the London office. Swannie joins the agency following a stint as a freelance consultant for brands like National Trust, long with several start-up companies. Throughout her 18-year career, she also worked on PlayStation, Orange, EE, Red Bull, P&G and Sony. "We are thrilled that Marta will be joining our team in London," said Jonny Westcar, London MD at Brand Union. "Her wealth of experience and highly accomplished background will make her a great asset to the team. Marta will be working with our executive creative director, Clare Styles, to deliver our creative strategy."     Havas Worldwide Tonic named Liz Kane as managing director, strategic planning. Previously, Kane was group planning director at Havas Worldwide. In her new role, she will oversee the Havas Tonic planning department and also take on direct planning responsibilities across its Genzyme MS portfolio. Kane will report to Paul Klein, managing partner, Havas Tonic. She takes on the managing director duties for Katie Rogin, who will be transitioning into a group planning director role. Prior to joining the agency, Liz had over 15 years of experience in strategic planning, brand building and relationship marketing with clients across the CPG, OTC and Rx spectrum. "Liz has impressed us with her dedication and knack for creative problem-solving time and time again, bringing a fresh perspective to each strategy she touches," said Klein. "She is a natural addition to the team and I am excited to continue breaking new ground together to grow brands across the board."

    Commonwealth//McCann tapped Ash Farr as executive vice president, global director of strategy and research, charged with leading global strategy for the General Motors Chevrolet account. Farr, who has served as National CEO of McCann Australia, will be based out Detroit headquarters, beginning Jan. 1, 2016. As National CEO of McCann Australia, which is part of McCann Worldgroup Australia, Farr led the agency through four years of growth, working with global brands like Ford, Toyota, Land Rover, Vodafone, Nestle, Nike, MasterCard, Google and Coca-Cola. "It's always great when one of our own can take a larger role within McCann," said Ben Lilley, chairman and CEO of McCann Worldgroup Australia.
