  • Aki Spicer, Evan Weissbrot, Trish Schmitt, Ted Guidotti and Jason Souter

    TBWA\Chiat\Day New York promoted Aki Spicer from director of digital strategy and content planning, to chief digital officer, a new position. Evan Weissbrot was promoted from executive director of engagement to chief engagement officer. In addition, the agency hired Trish Schmitt and Ted Guidotti as global creative directors, and elevated Jason Souter from group executive producer to head of integrated production.

    Spicer joined TBWA in 2013 as director of digital strategy and content planning, implementing digital and content platforms across all agency clients, including GoDaddy, Michelin, and Sport Chek. Prior to TBWA, Spicer was director of digital strategy at Fallon. Weissbrot joined TBWA in 2014 to lead Nissan United's NURVE (Nissan United Real-Time Vision for Engagement) Center. Prior to TBWA, Weissbrot was global account director at OMD, focusing on media investment strategy for Nissan.

    Schmitt and Guidotti have worked together for more than 17 years at various agencies and in their own freelance creative collaboration. The pair will lead creative on the Accenture account, an agency client since 2010. They report to Chris Garbutt, chief creative officer. Schmitt and Guidotti joined TBWA, following three years at mcgarrybowen New York, where they developed brand campaigns for Chevron, JPMorgan Chase and Roundabout Theatre Company. Souter has worked at the agency since 2004, first as associate broadcast producer and then as group executive producer.

  • Chris Hiland and Kathy Umland

    Periscope hired Chris Hiland as executive vice president, director of media and engagement and Kathy Umland as director of creative services. Hiland joins Periscope from BPN, where he served as chief growth officer. He has worked with CPG, food, retail, education and industrial brands, including Tyson and P&G. Prior to BPN, Hiland held a variety of roles at Jack Morton, Ipsos and Mediabrands. Umland has 30 plus years of experience in advertising, with more than a decade spent at both Carmichael Lynch and, most recently, at Martin Williams. At Periscope, Umland will focus on creative resource management and recruiting talent from around the world.
  • Ezequiel Soules and Martin Insua

    R/GA New York hired Ezequiel Soules and Martin Insua as creative directors. They will report to Chris Northam and Eric Jannon, group executive creative directors at R/GA. Most recently, the pair were creative directors in Wieden + Kennedy's Sao Paulo office. Soules and Insua were responsible for managing creativity and strategy online and offline for clients like Coca-Cola Brazil, Coca-Cola Latam, Smirnoff Brazil, Philips Brazil and Latam and Old Spice Brazil and Latam. Before that they worked as a senior team in Argentina at Ponce Buenos Aires for clients such as Axe Global, Rexona Global, Impulse Global, Knorr Quick. "We're happy to add international talents as Martin and Ezequiel to our New York team," said Jannon. "They're already helping us create important work for our American brands as well as contributing to our accounts across the global network."
  • Fred Schuster

    WPP and IPG veteran Fred Schuster is joining 2adpro Media Solutions as CEO of global brand solutions.

    In this new role, Schuster will be responsible for driving growth across the company’s brand business, expanding their global footprint and integrating near-shore strategic creative resources with its Indian-based creative production unit.

    He will directly oversee 50 people based in New York, London, and India, and jointly manage 1,200 in India. He will work out of the shop's New York office and report to 2adpro's board.

    Prior to joining 2adpro, Schuster lead a creative consulting practice, Fred&Co and also served as CEO of WPP's RedWorks and IPG's Craft Worldwide.

    Schuster was well-known to the agency before coming on board. The global marketing services company has been a long time consulting client of Fred&Co and he helped to develop the agency's strategy. Then once 2adpro started implementing these changes, executives asked him to join full time to lead the team.

Prior to Grey, he was vice president, strategic planning director at Innocean on Hyundai and See's Candies. He has also held strategy and new business roles at The Garage Team Mazda/WPP and Saatchi & Saatchi LA. At iris, Giannone will work across the New York, Atlanta, Chicago and Sao Paulo offices, leading the strategy and planning teams. As managing director for iris New York, Davidheiser is charged with overseeing day-to-day management of the office. She joins the agency from Jack Moton NY, where she served as senior vice president, general manager.
