Position: Regional Sales Manager
Division: Sales
Reports To: Company owners
Compensation: Heavily commission based, with a guaranteed base and great upside for success.
Purpose: Drive growth and revenue by actively selling both print and digital advertising to national manufacturing and regional dealership accounts, ensuring an optimal balance between customer acquisition and existing customer management.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Client Relationships: Maintain and expand relationships with existing accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction.
2. Prospecting: Proactively seek new and "cold" accounts, using a blend of our database and independent research.
3. Market Awareness: Stay updated with competitive publications, industry news, and events to identify sales prospects.
4. Communication: Uphold a consistent level of outbound communication through calls, emails, social media interactions, and mailings.
5. Data Management: Use CRM diligently to track, update, and analyze sales activities.
6. Collaboration: Work closely with the design team to create compelling "spec" ads for potential clients. Also work closely with the digital marketing department to construct the best digital advertising options for potential clients.
7. Process Adherence: Follow monthly sales processes to ensure efficient workflows and maximize sales opportunities.
Performance Objectives:
- Meet or exceed set quarterly and yearly sales targets.
- Initiate a minimum specified volume of outbound communication, maintaining an exemplary conversion rate.
- Ensure a high retention rate for existing clients.
- Keep the CRM system updated, ensuring accurate and timely entries.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) from a recognized institution.
- Experience: 3-5 years in a Sales role or equivalent combination of education and experience. Comfortable with selling print and digital offerings.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word and Excel, with a working knowledge of CRM software.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional communication skills, time management, and a professional approach to responsibilities.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Some flexibility in hybrid work schedule. While performing the duties, the employee will primarily be seated, engaging in phone calls and computer tasks. Occasional need to stand, walk, and collaborate with team members. The office environment is supportive, collaborative, and has a moderate noise level. Occasional travel for tradeshow or conference attendance and possible client entertaining around tradeshows or conferences.
