Lacey Creaser
Jackson Spalding Director of DigitalFor Lacey, there are times for going with the grain and times to go against it. When refinishing vintage wooden furniture found around her hometown of Roswell, Georgia, it’s sanding with the grain. When it’s Lacey’s career, it’s all about challenging the expected.
Before Lacey was hired as a digital strategist at Jackson Spalding in 2014, she was focused on a radio broadcast career both as on-air talent and senior producer with Clear Channel and FOX 5 News. The bumpy road that led to these positions left her with a strong desire to help others who had the same career aspirations, so she opted to teach Communications at the Atlanta Broadcast Institute for five years while working full-time. However, if she could help mold students to better inform the populous, she felt she could also cross over to the other side and help elected officials communicate more clearly as media liaison for the Georgia State Senate, which she did for three years following her broadcast career.
After her time at the Gold Dome in Atlanta, she participated in a screen-test for a national television show for Taylor Corporation. Between takes, she decided to raise a few observations on how they could improve their website. They were blown away at her keen recommendations and she was hired on the spot to work in their e-commerce group. When she saw the first spike in sales after some digital updates, she was hooked. From there, Lacey went to work for Starbucks Corporation, serving as Senior Manager for eCommerce.
With a penchant and passion for digital strategy, Lacey moved into the fast-paced and ever-changing agency life and hasn’t looked back. During her time at Rockfish, she served as the National Practice Leader for Search and Emerging Media, serving clients such as Kimberly-Clark Corporation, Mars, Ford Motor Company, Proctor & Gamble and Phillips 66.
With all that’s she accomplished in so many areas, Lacey’s life goal is to be the ultimate role model and devoted mother to her two growing daughters. Even in the frenzied life of an agency career and motherhood, Lacey and her husband Logan still find time to throw theme parties for friends. Just make sure you use a coaster when you set down your drink – that table was just refinished.
