  • Procter & Gamble
    Starcom MediaVest Group
    Procter & Gamble has reassigned its $800 million North American media planning and buying account for Gillette to Publicis' Starcom MediaVest Group from WPP's MindShare unit. The move follows the completion of P&G's acquisition of Gillette. Broadcasting buying duties will be handled by MediaVest, and print and outdoor media will be handled by Starcom.

    Ogilvy & Mather New York has been named agency of record for Unilever North America's Ragu brand. The agency will develop an integrated campaign for the pasta sauce that includes direct marketing, interactive, and CRM components. The account is estimated at $15 million.

    SanDisk, a supplier of flash memory data storage products, has placed its $10 million advertising account in review. Grey Worldwide, Publicis, and M&C Saatchi are competing for the work.

    Starcom USA
    Luxottica Retail, owner of LensCrafters and Pearle Vision, among others, has awarded Starcom USA its media account. The agency bested PHD and Universal McCann for the win. The account is estimated at $60 million.

    Goodby, Silverstein & Partners, San Francisco has been awarded the estimated $12 million Starbucks/PepsiCo Frappuccino account.

    GSD&M has been awarded creative duties on the estimated $80 million BMW of North America account. The agency bested Kirshenbaum Bond + Partners, New York, for the win.
  • PBM Products
    bubble
    PBM Products has named bubble, Philadelphia, a gender marketing agency, to handle its upcoming ad campaign for Bright Beginnings infant formula. Work will include print, online and direct mail components and is slated for a 2006 launch. The campaign will target 25- to 34-year-old women with one to three children. The incumbent was The Martin Agency, Richmond, Va. Spending was not released.

    Nintendo of America has selected Vital Marketing as its urban agency of record. Vital Marketing is tasked with increasing Nintendo's market share in the video game industry. The agency will help construct the brands' urban positioning statements and develop image building programs targeting influencer groups within the entertainment industry. Spending was not released.

    Following a nine-month review, Silverstein Properties has awarded The VIA Group advertising duties for its 7 World Trade Center account. Billings were not disclosed.
