    TAXI New York was awarded two Johnson & Johnson brands: Motrin and Children's Motrin. The $10 million account was previously handled by Alchemy.

    Nokia hired JWT to handle distribution and adaptation work on its global advertising account.

    The VIA Group has been selected by Guardian Industries, a global glass producer, as its international branding agency of record. The scope of work will include branding strategy, research, public relations, advertising, media planning and interactive.
  • James Hardie Industries

    James Hardie Industries, makers of building materials, awarded KSL Media its $15 million media account.
  • New York Life

    New York Life awarded TAXI New York its $30 million advertising account.

    TJX Cos. moved creative duties for its Marshalls brand to Mullen. The Kaplan Thaler Group previously handled the account.

    BooneOakley Charlotte has been named agency of record for Halo Technologies. A $20 million budget will go to TV, print and interactive collateral in the national launch of Halo's first retail product, the Halo Ultraviolet Germ-Killing Vacuum. First work will launch in September.

    After a two-month review, Levitt & Sons named Blattner Brunner as its agency of record, to provide strategy, creative, media and digital work. Billings are valued at $6 million. New work will break next year. The incumbent, VSM Advertising, will continue to handle local marketing for Florida communities now under development.

    Walton/Isaacson was awarded creative and media duties on the Lexus African-American account.
  • BI-LO
    Erwin-Penland
    Erwin-Penland was named agency of record for BI-LO, a chain of 227 supermarkets. Billings were not released. Work will include print and broadcast creative development, media planning and buying, Web site development, online marketing initiatives, and in-store merchandising.
  • L.A. Care
    RLR Advertising & Marketing
    RLR Advertising & Marketing was named agency of record for L.A. Care, charged with handling creative, media and event functions for both general and multicultural advertising programs.
