Time Warner's plan to spin off Time Warner Cable got the go-ahead from the Federal Communications Commission on Wednesday, reports Dow Jones. The company contends that the move will allow each entity
great strategic, financial and operational flexibility and transform the media conglomerate into one that is more focused on movies, TV and magazines. The separation is expected at the end of the
first quarter.
