Nintendo DSi Headed For U.S.

Nintendo said it will bring the new version of the popular DS handheld game gadget, the DSi, to the U.S. on April 5.

P> Upgrades include a sleek profile with slightly larger display, two cameras to take pictures with several special effects of the person holding the system and others. Gamers can transfer photos wirelessly between systems.

A SD card slot provides additional picture storage aside from internal memory and for digital music files that gamers can play on the system, which will come in either blue or black and sell for around $170. The console went on sale in Japan last November.--Laurie Sullivan
