The Spanish Tourism Board, Turespaña, selected MPG Madrid--Havas Media's global media network--to service its media account for 2009, worth more than $53 million. MPG Madrid, which had handled
the off-line account, now has both the off and online business. MPG will manage the account in association with sister online and digital specialist network Media Contacts. The MPG strategy will
promote Spain's image as an international tourism destination. The campaign will be launched in 34 markets, focusing on those countries with higher tourism figures in Europe, America and Australia.
Approximately 75% of the total budget is for Europe, 15% for America and 10% for Asia-Oceania.
