The deal will deliver all 63 games live via a Wi-Fi connection--from the first round of the tournament through the semifinal and final rounds of the Men's Final Four. The tournament runs March 19th through April 6th.
Under the agreement, a special NCAA March Madness on Demand application for the iPhone and iPod is available for users, priced at $4.99 from Apple's App Store. All games from the Final Four will also be available for $1.99 each on Apple's iTunes Store the day after they are completed.
The games are only available to AT&T customers--AT&T is the exclusive phone carrier of the iPhone. AT&T is also a main 'corporate champion' sponsor of the NCAA.
AT&T mobile users who buy an iPhone are required to get a $30/month data plan. This gives them access to email, the Internet, and now this year's NCAA tournament games.
During live game action, users can access in-game box scores and player stats. They can also get a full tournament scoreboard, game recaps, and video highlights of every tournament game.
