EBay Motors Goes Local

  • April 10, 2009
Online automobile selling site eBay Motors has launched what might be called Craigslist for Cars, a local classified ad section for individual sellers.

The company says the feature is intended to connect buyers and sellers within a 100-mile radius of their local markets.

Through an initial promotional period ending July 15, sellers can list up to six vehicles for a seven-day period with no insertion or successful listing fees.

EBay Motors says it gets 12 million monthly unique visitors looking for preowned vehicles.--Karl Greenberg
