Tumri Raider: Michael Peralta Signs on as CRO

PeraltaMarking its second key appointment in less than a month, online ad company Tumri has named former Platform-A exec Michael Peralta as chief revenue officer.

Dividing his time between Tumri headquarters in Mountain View, Calif. and New York, Peralta will be responsible for managing all sales and marketing functions, including customer experience, business development and global expansion efforts.

"A key part of my role as chief revenue officer is to educate and inform the marketplace about Tumri's dynamic ad optimization platform and support the company's global expansion," said Peralta. "Many brands still struggle with how to make their creatives successful in various scenarios and among different audiences."

At AOL's Platform-A ad unit, Peralta served as senior vice president of North America and global accounts, where he was responsible for $1 billion in revenue.

Last month, Tumri named Jeff McCombs -- former chief of staff to former Yahoo President Sue Decker -- as its chief financial officer. McCombs left Yahoo following Decker's resignation in January, as part of a broader reorganization at the company under new CEO Carol Bartz.

Tumri's AdPod -- a variation on the interactive display unit -- allows marketers to tailor ad content such as a call-to-action, pricing and background on the fly to different target audiences and boost performance. HP, Lenovo, Sears and British Airways are among the advertisers that have used the AdPod platform.

The company raised $10 million in a second-round venture funding in June 2007 led by Lehman Brothers Venture Partners.

Prior to his recent role at Platform-A, Peralta worked at Advertising.com, where he led the company's national advertiser relations and market research teams.

Previously, he served as managing director of Western Europe for Advertising.com and was responsible for the corporate performance and growth strategy for the United Kingdom, France and Spain.
