Neiman Marcus Shortens Store Hours

  • June 9, 2009
Women's Wear Daily reports that luxury retailer Neiman Marcus -- pummeled in recent months by the sharp downtown in consumer spending -- "plans to shorten store hours in half of its 40 units, beginning July 5, in order to match traffic patterns."

While no changes will be made at such stores as the downtown Dallas flagship, NorthPark Center in Dallas and the Beverly Hills store on Wilshire Boulevard, the Short Hills, N.J. store will now close at 8 p.m., rather than 9 most evenings. And the Houston Galleria store now won't open until 1 p.m. on Sundays.--Sarah Mahoney
