MTV Cuts 75 Mid-Level Staffers

MTV Networks is letting around 75 staffers go, reports B&C. The job losses primarily hit mid-level executives in program development, digital division and scheduling at MTV and Logo. The cuts were blamed on the recession. Brian Graden, MTV Networks veteran programming chief, left a few days earlier. Per Credit Suisse, MTV has showed ratings declines for the past two years, excluding the fourth quarter of 2007.
