MEC Interaction, a division of Mediaedge:cia, on Monday announced the appointment of Mark Yesayian to lead the agency's West Coast digital practice. Based in Seattle, Yesayian will report directly to Patrick Cartmel, managing director, MEC Interaction.

"It is vital that we continue to bring outstanding talent into our agency," said Lee Doyle, CEO, Mediaedge:cia North America. "Mark has extensive experience with digital marketing and top-level client management, across many communication platforms."

In his position, Yesayian will be expected to grow and develop MEC Interaction's digital practice on the West Coast. He takes responsibility for the operation of the Seattle office, and will actively lead the client teams' digital and emerging platform expertise in MEC's San Francisco, Los Angeles and Irvine offices.

As managing partner, and head of digital West Coast, he will also serve on MEC's North American Executive Committee. Yesayian joins from Ogilvy, San Francisco -- where as a senior partner and managing director, he was responsible for clients, including Yahoo, IBM/Info Print and Sony PlayStation.
