Heavy Hitters Bid For Travel Channel

News Corp., Scripps Networks Interactive and NBC Universal are among the bidders for the Travel Channel, according to Bloomberg. The channel, which airs "Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations," reaches more than 90 million homes. Cox Communications said in June that it had received unsolicited inquiries about the Travel Channel Media unit and hired Goldman Sachs Group Inc. to evaluate its options.
