K-C's Depend Backs Prostate Awareness With PSA

  • September 14, 2009
Kimberly-Clark and its Depend brand have teamed up with Zero -- The Project to End Prostate Cancer -- to help educate men on the risks associated with the disease.

This month, the last of a four-month "The Depend Campaign to End Prostate Cancer," the Depend brand will debut a television public service announcement (PSA) starring prostate cancer survivors and campaign ambassadors, Pro Football Hall of Famer Len Dawson and three-time Pro Baseball All-Star Ken Griffey, Sr. The PSA features both sports legends sharing their personal experiences with prostate cancer and promoting both education and early detection as the keys to beating the disease.

As part of its partnership with Zero, K-C recently debuted a special blue ribbon on all Depend Underwear for Men and Depend Guards for Men packages. Each purchase of both Depend brand products for men will help Kimberly-Clark contribute to the overall $250,000 donation K-C has pledged to Zero through 2010 to help fund education, free screenings for those at risk and research to discover a cure.--Karl Greenberg
