NBCU Offers Voluntary Buyouts To News Staffers

NBC Universal executives are hoping news employees across its news divisions and bureaus take voluntary buyouts, reports The New York Observer. Staffers at NBC News and MSNBC were told that if buyouts don't work, job cuts loom. "Nightly News" employees got the work on Sept. 11. This is the second time in less than a year that NBC has relied on buyouts.
