PC Magazine to Launch "Internet Pro"

  • November 17, 2000
PC Magazine will launch "Internet Pro," a new section premiering Dec. 5 (on newsstands Nov. 21) that is designed to address issues and needs of Internet developers. The special monthly section covers technology and solutions for Internet designers, developers and programmers. Each month, "Internet Pro's" main feature will examine a major topic of interest to Internet professionals from the developer's point of view.

An accompanying editorial feature answers reader questions about designing, developing and maintaining Web sites and Internet applications. Internet Pro will be published in the first biweekly issue each month following PC Magazine's "Solutions" section.

Future topics are content management, usability, multiple platforms and Web site quality assurance.

The Dec. 5 Internet Pro premiere gives an in-depth look at Microsoft's new .NET strategy, intended to bring together all of its technologies for servers, desktops, appliances and mobile devices. Because .NET has tremendous potential to shift the way Web sites and Internet applications are built, PC Magazine will examine the varying systems that make up .NET and compare it to what the rest of the industry is doing.
