Maxus North America has been awarded strategic media planning and investment responsibilities for Panera Bread, beating the incumbent mediaHUB, the media planning and buying division of Mullen. The
creative portion of the account, which is not up for review, will be retained by Mullen. The agency's New York office will handle the account, primarily focusing on local broadcast media. National
media could be added in 2010. Maxus is one of four global WPP media agency networks within GroupM.
