GlobalMedia Signs Ad Insertion Deal with Hiwire

GlobalMedia.com, a leader in Internet broadcasting and e-services, has partnered with Hiwire, Inc., the provider of live stream, targeted advertising solutions for streaming media, to provide ad insertion services for GlobalMedia's stations.

GlobalMedia will use the Hiwire technology to replace radio stations' local ads with targeted audience-relevant national ads on the Internet broadcast. GlobalMedia has also signed an ad representation agreement with Hiwire that allows Hiwire to sell the significant audio inventory. Radio stations streaming through GlobalMedia broadcast over 107 million minutes a month, more than 1.8 million hours. The average radio station has about 10 minutes per hour of commercial time. The aggregate inventory available through the stations accounts for approximately 21 million minutes of targeted differentiated advertising for sale on the network online.
