IOC Launches Digital Challenge For Young Athletes

  • October 14, 2009
Sure, those Olympic athletes are good at things like the luge, shotput and marathons. But a new digital campaign from the International Olympic Committee throws down something different in its new "The Best of Us" challenge, inviting young people to compete with Rafael Nadal, Spain's tennis powerhouse, in how many tennis balls they can hold at one time, American skier Lindsey Vonn in how many different languages they can "Hello" in, or Australia's Steve Hooker to show off how many times they can tap their heads while doing handstands.

Participants in the contest, created by Cole & Weber, can also invent their own challenges and submit those videos. Prizes include autographed Olympic gear, as well as trips to the Vancouver 2010 Games and the inaugural Youth Olympic Games in Singapore 2010.--Sarah Mahoney
