Sprint Intros Eco-Friendly Packaging

  • November 4, 2009
Starting later this month, Sprint will offer more environmentally friendly packaging on many of its wireless accessories.

The packaging, which will be 20% to 40% smaller than previous packaging and will be fully recyclable, is expected to result in a 35% reduction in packaging costs and save nearly 650 tons of waste annually, according to the Overland Park, Kan. company.

The environmentally friendly packaging comes on the heels of other green initiatives from Sprint, including offering the Samsung Reclaim phone, which is made up of 80% recyclable materials.--Aaron Baar
