Despite its abysmal local economic climate, Detroit is about to get a third daily newspaper, reports The Detroit News
. On Nov. 23, publishers Mark and Gary Stern will drop 200,000 copies of the
Detroit Daily Press
on doorsteps. The first regular edition will hit newsstands that day, while a home-delivered newspaper is scheduled for Nov. 30. The pub will cost 50 cents, and the Sterns
say they need to sell 150,000 copies to break even.
