Fox Business Expands Distribution

FOX Business

Fox Business Network now has carriage deals with all of the top five cable operators, adding the holdout Cablevision, which gives the network increased reach in the critical New York area.

The Cablevision arrangement adds about 3 million homes for FBN, taking it over the 50 million-home mark. Satellite carriers DirecTV and Dish also offer it.

The network remains unrated. It has added Don Imus' morning show and a prime-time program with ABC's John Stossel starts next month.

Deals with Time Warner Cable and now Cablevision give FBN a presence in the country's largest DMA, an important addition, given its high concentration of financial professionals. Outside New York City, parts of northern New Jersey and southern Connecticut and Long Island are also covered.

FBN, which launched two years ago, is available in high-def on the various MSOs.
