Buena Vista Television has targeted a fall 2002 launch for the half-hour weekday syndicated version of ABC's prime-time game show "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire." While speculation has been rampant
that BVT was looking to roll out a half-hour "Millionaire" in broadcast syndication next year, it had not been clear whether the Disney-owned distributor would aim for January or for fall. A half-hour
syndie version of NBC's rival prime-time quiz show "Weakest Link" remains targeted for January. Michael Davies, who exec-produces the prime-time "Millionaire," is on board to do the same for the
syndie strip. No word yet on who will host.
