Sony, Real D Ink 3-D Agreement
December 17, 2009
Sony and technology company Real D have entered into an agreement to bring the 3-D experience to consumer electronics in 2010.
The pact includes Real D licensing its format, technologies and
3-D eyewear production capabilities to Sony. The two companies have worked together on 3-D for theaters for several years.--Aaron Baar

That may be all well and good, but Pro/consumers and businesses alike are waiting for a Glasses-Free 3-D experience, while content creators and advertisers are waiting for a 3-D fully grown chicken to bust out of it's egg. What the 3-D industry really needs right now is a switchable 2DHD to 3D real time content converter. This eliminates the need to repurchase everything in a different format, it's automatic, engaging, and with a price point of $300 or less it just may find itself in my living room.
