Comcast Extends 'Troop Greetings On Demand' Offer

  • December 23, 2009
Comcast says that for the sixth straight year, it is offering "Troop Greetings On Demand," delivering holiday greetings from military personnel stationed overseas to their families back home.

Comcast broadcasts the messages in its regular programming, and this service, available at no cost to its subscribers, allows families to play and replay the video messages as often as they wish.

To compile Troop Greetings On Demand, Comcast says it secured hundreds of videotapes from the Army/Air Force Hometown News Service and then edited them into short video greetings, with each message including the service member's name and hometown, and sometimes spouse and children.--Sarah Mahoney
