HuffPo Expands Sales Team

The Huffington Post, a social news and opinion site, created four new senior positions on its sales team. Andy Wiedlin has been named VP of sales, West Coast; Philip Cara has been named VP of sales, East Coast; Peter Cherukuri has been named VP and GM of HuffPost's DC office; and Brian Kaminsky has been named VP, director of sales operations. Arianna Huffington, co-founder and editor-in-chief, stated: "We've seen tremendous growth in our traffic and our editorial output over the last year. These great additions to our sales team will allow us to do the same on the business side of the company." Huffington Post claims roughly 23 million unique monthly visitors, while Nielsen puts the number at less than 10 million.
