Macy's To Close Five Stores

  • January 5, 2010
Macy's says it will shut down five stores, and says the move is part of its ongoing efforts to prune out its underperformers.

The stores are located in Boise, Idaho; St. Ann, Mo.; Missoula, Mont., Waterford, Mich., and Burlington, N.J. The Cincinnati-based chain says it will begin final clearance Jan. 10, which will run for roughly two months before stores are shuttered.--Sarah Mahoney
