AT&T Wireless Chooses Ogilvy & Mather

  • July 13, 2001
AT&T Wireless yesterday announced that it has selected Manhattan based Ogilvy & Mather as its new advertising agency of record.

Ogilvy & Mather was awarded the company's advertising business as a result of a comprehensive review process that took place over the past several months. Ogilvy & Mather will be responsible for mass-market advertising, creative development and production for AT&T Wireless' brand work and marketing offers.

Incumbent agency Foote Cone Belding (FCB) was notified yesterday morning of the decision. FCB will transition their current advertising work to Ogilvy & Mather over the next 90 days.

AT&T Wireless, which split off from parent company AT&T on July 9, 2001, became a separate, independently traded company.
